While I dream about the moment I'll be able to nonchalantly walk into my favorite local coffee shop to order my usual (oat chai latte), I'm playing pretend and have my personal home barista make me a to-go order in my favorite ceramic cup.

Martina Thornhill is a Portland-based ceramicist whose work I've been following for a long time.

Last fall, I got the chance to snag two of her amazing okay cups at a sample sale and have been drinking my morning chai (or matcha) from them ever since.
