The Bidet

I never thought I would show you pictures on my bathroom, and especially not of my toilet, but I guess there's a first for everything.

As half of the world is experiencing some form of confinement, I am reminded of the benefits of having changed or adopted a number of habits along my journey to a low waste lifestyle.

Reading news of people panic-buying insame amounts of toilet paper, I felt a sense of relief, knowing that if we ever came down to our last roll of toilet paper, we still have our bidet.

Because yes, we still use toilet paper.

I personally mostly use it to pat myself dry after using the bidet. It's how I do it for now - but I would happily switch to family cloth (aka bum towels) should my significant other also agree to make the switch.

So this is our set-up for now and I'm happy with it. We buy recycled toilet paper in bulk once a year and are never really concerned about running out, because we know we always have an alternative.

As for traveling and camping, I usually "do as the Romans do", but I also gave the travel bidet a try during a camping trip and liked the feeling of freshness and the freedom from having to pack out dirty TP.
