Field Notes #236
Collected each week from books, conversations, walks, rabbit holes, and everyday life.
Like I mentioned in my last post, I've been looking back through my archives and realized that I've been keeping this weekly tradition of sharing notes collected from books, conversations, walks, rabbit holes, and everyday life for 236 weeks. So I decided to honor that ritual and introduce a new name. My brain feels happy knowing that the numbering now reflects this practice.
I've been slowly settling back home, tackling jet lag, and getting back into my daily habits. A detailed recap of my European trip will be featured in my monthly newsletter, so make sure you're signed up.
In the meantime, here are a few things that have been living in my brain over the past three and a half weeks:
- I haven't had much time to read, but I started this page-turner set in 1980s Chicago and contemporary Paris (it's soon to be adapted on TV by Amy Poehler).
- I wish I had these to organize my stuff in my suitcase and in the van we borrowed for our road trip through Italy.
- I've been lucky to see the works of this artist for a second time (at her first exhibition in France!).
- Now that I'm back home, I want to design my summer.
- I never realized this was a French rite of passage.
- This in-depth article reignited my goal of framing more artwork.
- Vacation with an artist!
- This song on repeat.
- On my mood board.
- This Montreal trip recap is chock-full of good recommendations!
