Welcome to Day 3 of the fall 10×10 Challenge.
Today is a tough day, a migraine hit me unexpectedly yesterday and I spent most of the afternoon in bed. I got better in the evening but spent the worst night ever, getting woken up by the pain.
But there's work to be done, so I got up, worked a little, went for a long walk with a dear friend in a new-to-me park and came back home refreshed and ready to do some more work.
Before shooting this look, I even went as far as trying to style my straight hair (I went to the blow dry bar last week and am now trying to reproduce this at home, do you think I'm doing a good job?), so yes, I'm feeling way better (also, thank you for your kind words on my Insta stories).
My Day 3 Outfit
Life in black.
Today's outfit fits the rainy weather and my dark mood. And it's pretty versatile so I won't have to change outfits for an event I'm attending tonight. I might just add some more lipstick.
Sweater - Everlane, made consciously in China.
Skirt - I've had this skirt for many, many years. I love its length, elastic waist, and lightness. It just sometimes tends to stick to my legs because of static electricity. I might try to sew another one from this pattern some day. I'd love it in a warm color! Similar here.
Shoes - My beloved Danner boots, made in Portland, OR. You've already seen them in this look. I just started wearing them again, after giving them a good coat of Otter Wax. I love the way the age and plan on wearing them all winter long, and for many, many years to come.
Now a little word about my bag. The last time I visited my grandpa, I looked through his cupboards and found two of these, which my late grandmother probably used to take to the market. But they're a little fragile so I only use them for lighter items, so I recently got a modern version. I like to put my things in tiny reusable produce bags and throw them in this market tote. Isn't it so cute?
Oh, and my necklace is from Sea + Pattern and my earrings from Upper Metal Class. Portland makers power!
Now, I'm gonna get back to work and will report on tonight's event tomorrow. I hope you're having a wonderful day!
