Whether you need a last minute Valentine's gift or just want to treat yourself to a luxurious body oil, these Portland small shops got you covered.
It was very hard to narrow them down to 5, but you'll soon be able to discover all my favortie in the Conscious by Chloé City Guide I'm currently working on.
1. Palace
Palace has got the best zine selection. I'm always tempted to get one of the many funny and activist pins they sell. And, last but not least, they also offer a wode variety of zero-waste friendly accessories (furoshiki, wooden utensils). Also, the shop is accross the street from my favorite lunch spot, Luce.
2. Spartan
I never miss an opportunity to stop by Spartan after looking for vintage treasures at the Portland Flea. I am a fan of their kitchenware. Their taste in ceramics is on point. It's now also very close to my new studio and within walking distance from Rejuvenation and its little cantine, Figlia Americana.
3. Field Trip
Field Trip can be summed up in 3 words: California meets Oregon. There's something so peaceful in Kara's shop. Her self-care selection is simply the best in Portland and I love her penchant for all things witchy (incences, crystals, tarot workshops).
4. Wild Poppy Goods
Wild Poppy is the last small shop I discovered in Portland last November. Taylor's aesthetics got me hooked at the first Instagram post I saw. Funny story: I had forgotten my wallet, but still came back home with a jade roller and paid for it online once I got home. It's the little things that make you come back.
5. Beam & Anchor
I save a visit to Beam & Anchor for special occasions, especially when I'm on the hunt for a host/hostess gift. Their home goods selection is so simple and elegant! Plus, they carry Roots & Crowns product, and I'm a total fan of Max's herbal apothecary.
Do you live in Portland or are you planning on visiting Bridge City any time soon? What's the one shop you('d) love to stop by?
