These pictures were taken a year ago, not too long before I moved back to France. And for some reason, I never got to post them in here. I suppose that life was pretty overwhelming... for very different reasons than it is right now.
So I suppose that now might ironically be a good time to post these, to escape our homes and worries for a minute, imagine this will be over soon and dream about lying on the grass under the sun, listening to the birds sing.

I think I remember getting that dress at the last flea market in the fall of 2018, knowing that I would wear it the next spring. I like the idea of buying presents for my future self, to have something to look forward to in another season, another year.
I stole this black t-shirt from Octave's closet, as we were decluterring and downsizing while preparing for our upcoming move. I had never seen him wear it, so I decided that it would be mine from now on.
My sneakers were on their last legs, with a counter looking worse for wear and a hole in the sole. I had gotten them when I used to live in the Netherlands, so probably in 2012-2013. I remember realizing once I got home that one of the shoes was discolored, probably from having been displayed in the sunny window for too long. I eventually decided it looked cool and even laced both shoes using a different pattern!
It was overall a beautiful, romantic afternoon in the gorge. Octave & I shot a couple Polaroids, one of which is currently displayed on our fridge.
I'm grateful that we had the opportunity to escape the stress of moving and being separated for a couple months, not knowing what the future held for us.
I now look back at these pictures and dream about the next time we'll get to see this place again.
Soon enough, I hope.

Well, that was some serious talking! Now tell me, do you steal items from your partner's closet?
