Last fall, I had started a regular yoga practice at home in our bedroom but eventually realized that this was not realistic during the winter time (we only heat up the living room because our house and heating system are far from energy efficient + there's no space for me to practice in there).
Then one day, on my way back from the farmer's market, someone commented on how great my kale looked (well, thank you!). We chatted for a sec and I soon learned that this person was actually a teacher at the next door yoga studio. She eventually mentioned the ridiculously cheap "new neighbor" trial pass and the rest is history.
IT WAS MAGIC!
Booking classes online for the upcoming week made me accountable. Alternating between morning, lunchtime and late afternoon classes switched up my routine and trying out different yoga and teaching styles helped me figure out what works best for me.
Considering that my yoga studio will now be closed for the foreseeable future, it's time to start a new routine at home and for this, I'm counting on my favorite teacher: Adriene.
I had started Home, her latest ‘30-days of yoga’ series back in January when I was in France and really liked the time-limited challenge and the community which was very active in the comments section :)
So today I'm starting again, from my bedroom, with an extra sweater on until spring really settles in moody Portland.
