The Valley Jumpsuit

I'm back with a new sewing project. It's probably my favorite so far, after the quilt jacket. Just because jumpsuits are kinda my uniform - even though they're not the most practical (the bathroom trip struggle is real) - they're just so darn comfy and cute!

I love the color blush but tend to forget that I like it better in my house than on my body. So I might try to experiment with natural dyes again this summmer.

I have lots of fabric left from the sheet set I got at the re-store so I'll be able to experiment on scraps before throwing my new jumpsuit in the vat.

Wise move on my part: I chose neutral buttons so whatever color I end up with should work. At least I hope so...

I haven't made any alteration to the Valley Jumpsuit pattern by Raphaëlle Bonamy of Readytosew for Peppermint Magazine, except for forgoing the back opening (I figured the front buttons would be enough to put the jumpsuit on and take it off - and they are).

I am not yet comfortable and patient enough to alter pattern and make adjustments but might try to do so in the future. I would really like to make a tiered dress with the rest of the fabric and would love to hack the Loungewear Set top and the Bardon Dress.

I had the A0 pattern printed at my local print shop and got to work. It is a fairly easy project, as long as you know your sewing machine well enough to sew buttons and buttonholes.
